Will you rock it?

Ways You Are Making Life Hard For Yourself.

When we were young life was easier, right? I know sometimes it seems that way. But the truth is life is still easy. It always will be. Over the course of time, we made our lives harder and harder, and we started losing touch with who we really are and what we really need.
If you can relate to this, here are some ways you’re likely making your life harder than it has to be, and some ideas on simplifying things:
1. You keep thinking about worst-case scenarios.
I have a bad habit of fast forwarding everything to its worst possible outcome and being pleasantly surprised when the result is marginally better than the utter disaster I imagined. My mind unnecessarily wrestles with events that aren’t even remotely likely. My sore throat is probably cancer. My lost ATM card fell into the hands of a Boko Haram terrorist who will wipe out my savings account.
Negativity like this only breeds more negativity. It robs you of happiness. It will carry you away from shore, and if you don’t swim away it will pull you under. The bottom line is that you can see the world through a lens of doubt and despair or hope and excitement. It’s your choice. Either way, you will someday arrive at the same destination. The only question is: Do you want to arrive with a frown or a smile?
2. You constantly compare your life to others.
You were invited to a nice party somewhere. You are enjoying the smooth jazz, wine and party jollof rice. What more could you want? As the party goes on you notice a group of guys and girls with expensive outfits enjoying themselves on another table across the party hall. Suddenly you begin to feel that you don’t measure up to the guys/girls on the other table - people you didn’t even know existed until just a few minutes ago.
Those people are having more fun. Mary has a bigger house. John gets all the lucky breaks. Tunde has more money. Ada is better looking.
Stop it.
If you compete with everyone else, you will become bitter. If you compete with a previous version of yourself, you will become better. It’s as simple as that.
3. You avoid facing the truth.
The truth does not cease to exist when it is ignored. You cannot find peace by avoiding things. You have to feel it to heal it. Bring your fears and weaknesses front and center and shine a blazing spotlight on them. Because the only way out is through. The pain of facing the truth is SO worth it in the long run.
4. You believe that everyone is out to get you .
Someone in your office does something nice for you and automatically you begin to wonder what they want. Another driver cut you off in traffic. Your friend never texted you back. Your colleague went to lunch without you. Everyone can find a reason to be offended on a daily basis. So what caused you to be offended? You assigned negative intent to these otherwise innocent actions. You took it as a personal insult – a slap in the face. Don’t do this to yourself. Don’t take things personally.
Don’t assign negative intent to the unintentional actions of others. Let today be the day you look for the good in everyone you meet.
5. You see a future full of pitfalls.
You finally have a dinner date with a person you really like. Instead of thinking how great this is and how much you are going to enjoy the evening, you focus on the ways that this evening is going to be a disaster. Or you finally get to take a bold step to do what you love and instead of seeing it working out well, you focus on how it is going to fail.
You are always so focused on all the negative things that might happen that you fail to see the benefits and opportunities before you. You could be missing something great!
6. You are the sun and the world rotates around you.
When planning an outing do you insist that everyone follow your plan? When you are having a bad day do you make sure all your friends and family know about it? These behaviors could be seriously making life more difficult for you. By making things less about you and more about others would make for smoother relationships and less tension.
7. You focus on popularity over effectiveness.
Seek respect, not attention. It lasts longer and it’s far more useful in the end. Do things and build things that make a lasting difference. And above all, never confuse popularity with effectiveness. Being popular means you’re liked for a while. Being effective means you’ve made a difference
8. You are stuck on your mistakes.
It’s important that we forgive ourselves for making mistakes. We need to learn from our errors and move forward. Make a pact with yourself today not to be defined by your past. Sometimes the greatest thing to come out of all your hard work isn’t what you get for it, but what you learn from it. A happy, successful life, after all, is not a life absent of problems, but one that’s been able to rise above them.
9. You have an “all or nothing” mentality.
There’s no such thing as perfect success, just as there’s no such thing as perfect failure. This is why labeling things in extremes – all or nothing – success or failure – is an exercise in futility.
What does exist, however, is a continuous series of imperfect moments filled with infinite possibilities and opportunities. Appreciate the grey area between the extremes – the journey – the experiences. And above all, never let success get to your head or failure get to your heart.
10. You can’t let go.
She embarrassed you in front of your colleagues and you are never going to forgive her. Sound familiar?
Learn to let go of the wrong things people have done to you. Most times the other person is out there enjoying her life while you keep on carrying the burden of hurt on your heart.
Another scenario is this: you know you are right about how something should be done and nothing is going to change your mind. Has this attitude ever embarrassed you when it turns out that you were wrong in the end?
Learn to let go. It makes life easier.
These and many more are the ways we unknowingly make life hard for ourselves.
I believe this post has been of help to you. I have decided to work on areas in this post that concerns me and I encourage you to do the same this year.
Let’s make life easy again!

URGENT NOTICE: For Participants Of MMM And Other Ponzi Schemes

A MUST READ: For Everyone Who Has Participated In Any Of The Numerous Online Schemes.
Please read and read carefully. I know innovators of these Ponzi Schemes will not like this very vital information I am about giving out and I believe they will most likely try to get back by attacking my website. What is most important is to save millions of others from financial, emotional and psychological damage that is likely to happen to them if I keep quiet.
I am not here to preach to you if MMM, Ultimate Cycler and the several numbers of Ponzi Schemes out there are good or bad or if you should participate in it or not. My major concern right now is to keep you safe and help you avoid further damage from occurring.
Now, please relax and read carefully and when you are through, don’t forget to pass the message across to others by sharing.
When you were signing up for all these ponzi schemes, hope you can vividly remember you registered with your Name, Phone Number, Email Address, Gender, Bank Account details as well as other vital information. YOU ARE NOW AT RISK!!! But don’t start panicking, I will tell you how to overcome being another victim of a massive fraud that is about to happen but if you don’t heed to the advice I am about to provide to you, you are on your own (OYO).
Since you have provided these systems with information which ordinary shouldn’t get to the hands of just anyone (i.e. Your Name, Bank details, phone number and e.mail address). You are also aware these Ponzi Schemes have no office address, centralized bank or even a known founder or operator who could be held responsible if anything goes wrong. So since this is the case follow the following advice and ensure to share this information with ALL your contacts not leaving anyone behind.
Just the way people who worked for INEC, National Identity Card Board, Telecoms Companies and other personal database collection organization eventually leak out such information and sell it to people in need of Email addresses and Phone for marketing purposes, this is the same risk you are now open to; only this time it is likely to get to the hands of fraudulent individuals who will be out to dupe you. In other not to fall victim for these fraudsters ensure you do the following:
1) Change your email address password. Whatever password you used before for your email address, be sure you change it. Let it be something very different from what you used before. Also make sure your email address password is not the same with what you used on the website of any of these ponzi schemes.
2) Change the password of your ATM and online banking platforms. Since these guys now have your bank details, mobile number and email address, tampering with your account is easier for them. So ensure you protect your bank details by changing all passwords.
3) Don’t ever listen to anyone claiming they are calling from your bank or CBN. If they send you mail or put a call across, ignore such people. Every change you need on your account, unlocking of your ATM or others MUST BE DONE ONLY IN THE BANKING HALL. Since these guys now have information on your account, it is now easier to call you and sound so convincing because they now have your account number, name of bank, phone number and email address. So if they are sending you an email or placing a cross across, it will only take a miracle for you not to fall victim as they have everything to deceive you to fall victim.
4) Never be deceived to provide your ATM details over the phone or email. Like I earlier stated, every financial update and changes SHOULD ONLY be done in the banking hall with a recognized bank staff attending to your needs.
5) Report to the Police or other authority anybody who you suspect is trying to dupe you. Even if you are smart not to fall victim, what about the man or woman who isn’t as enlightened as you are.
6) Remember these people might not start with their identity theft to try to dupe you so soon, but it will only be a matter of time. As soon as the several ponzi schemes start to collapse and no other avenue for them to generate more money, it will now be the beginning of the treat to information you provided to them when registering.
Stay Safe! Be Informed!! Stay Strong!!!

Comparison Of Ponzi In The US And Nigeria

*US SEC Enforcement Actions Against Ponzi Schemes*
What Is A Ponzi Scheme?
A Ponzi scheme is an investment fraud that involves the payment of purported returns to existing investors from funds contributed by new investors. Ponzi scheme organizers often solicit new investors by promising to invest funds in opportunities claimed to generate high returns with little or no risk. With little or no legitimate earnings, Ponzi schemes require a constant flow of money from new investors to continue. Ponzi schemes inevitably collapse, most often when it becomes difficult to recruit new investors or when a large number of investors ask for their funds to be returned.
Curtailing Ponzi schemes and holding accountable the individuals responsible for these scams is a vital component of the SEC's enforcement program.
Examples of SEC enforcement actions against Ponzi schemes include:
2014
Neal V. Goyal – SEC charged a Chicago-based investment fund manager with operating a Ponzi scheme that used new investor funds to pay redemptions to existing investors and fund his own lavish lifestyle.
Gaeton "Guy" Della Penna – SEC charged a Sarasota, Fla.-based private fund manager with defrauding investors in a Ponzi scheme that ensued after he squandered their money on bad investments and personal expenses.
Joseph Signore and Paul L. Schumack II – SEC charged the operators of a South Florida-based Ponzi scheme targeting investors through YouTube videos and selling them investments in a product called virtual concierge machines (VCMs) that would purportedly generate guaranteed returns of 300 to 500 percent in four years.
*Canopy Financial* - SEC obtained an emergency asset freeze to halt a $75 million Ponzi scheme that defrauded investors in a private placement offering. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois brought parallel criminal actions against Canopy Financial's founders.
Trevor Cook - SEC obtained an emergency asset freeze to halt a Ponzi scheme that raised $190 million from 1,000 investors through the unregistered sale of investments in a purported foreign currency trading venture. A judge later ordered Cook to be jailed for failing to comply with the asset freeze . The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Minnesota brought a parallel criminal action against Cook.
Mantria Corporation - SEC obtained an emergency asset freeze against four individuals and two companies for perpetrating a $30 million Ponzi scheme that persuaded more than 300 investors nationwide to participate in purported environmentally-friendly investment opportunities.
When will our government wake up to this menace?
Why can't Nigeria copy the US in dealing with this fraud?
Should we wait until Nigeria/Nigerians are ruined by this unscrupulous business?
Is the government really aware of the consequences of these schemes?
I really wish we could have a saner and organized system in Nigeria
God bless Nigeria

Assessment Of Two Employees.. - A Big Lesson For All Workers.

Ezra and Thomas joined a company together a few months after their graduation from university.
After a few years of work, their Manager promoted Ezra to a position of Senior Sales Manager, but Thomas remained in his entry level Junior Sales Officer position. Thomas developed a sense of jealousy and disgruntlement, but continued working anyway.
One day Thomas felt that he could not work with Ezra anymore. He wrote his resignation letter, but before he submitted it to the Manager, he complained that Management did not value hard working staff, but only promoted only the favoured!
The Manager knew that Ezra worked very hard for the years he had spent at the company; even harder than Thomas and therefore he deserved the promotion. So in order to help Thomas to realize this, the Manager gave Thomas a task.
“Go and find out if anyone is selling water melons in town?”
Thomas returned and said, "yes there is someone!"
The Manager asked, "how much per kg?" Thomas drove back to town to ask and then returned to inform the Manager; "they are R13.50 per kg!"
The Manager told Thomas, "I will give Ezra the same task that I gave you. Please pay close attention to his response!"
So the Manager said to Ezra, in the presence of Thomas; “Go and find out if anyone is selling water melons in town?”
Ezra went to find out and on his return he said:
"Manager, there is only one person selling water melons in the whole town. The cost is R49.00 each water melon and R32,50 for a half melon. He sells them at R13.50 per kg when sliced. He has in his stock 93 melons, each one weighing about 7kg. He has a farm and can supply us with melons for the next 4 months at a rate of 102 melons per day at R27.00 per melon; this includes delivery.
The melons appear fresh and red with good quality, and they taste better than the ones we sold last year.
He has his own slicing machine and is willing to slice for us free of charge.
We need to strike a deal with him before 10am tomorrow and we will be sure of beating last year's profits in melons by R223 000.00. This will contribute positively to our overall performance as it will add a minimum of 3.78% to our current overall sales target.
I have put this information down in writing and is available on spreadsheet. Please let me know if you need it as I can send it to you in fifteen minutes."
Thomas was very impressed and realized the difference between himself and Ezra. He decided not to resign but to learn from Ezra.
As we begin this fresh year, let this story help us keep in mind the importance of going an extra mile in all our endeavors.
You won't be rewarded for doing what you're meant to do, you only get a salary for that! You're only rewarded for going an extra mile; performing beyond expectations.
To be successful in life you must be observant, proactive and willing to do more, think more, a more holistic perspective and go beyond the call of duty.
May you be blessed with a better perspective to your work this year.
*Greater life needs this mentality of going an extra mile, As Husband's, mothers, children; Let's go an extra mile in all our endeavour..
Let us always have this in our minds...
..
The reason why employers do not workers is that workers do only what they are told to do..
They don't put in their own initiatives.. Investors put in whatever it takes wherever they are, even if they find themselves as employees, or an entrepreneurs or self-employed..
They go extra miles to get things "Better done"..
That is why employers love investors.
Have a blessed day.

CIA veteran claims Adolf Hitler 'faked his own death then fled to South America in submarine via Tenerife'

The bombshell revelations are made by Bob Baer - who claims he has 'proof' the Nazi leader survived the Second World War - in new TV series Hunting Hitler for The History Channel

HEAR FROM THE MAN WHO CLAIMS HE WITNESSED HITLER'S ESCAPE

A veteran CIA agent claims he has proof that Adolf Hitler 'faked his own death and then fled to South America in a submarine via Tenerife'.

The Nazi leader is famously meant to have committed suicide alongside his wife Eva Braun in his bunker at the tail end of the Second World War.
But Bob Baer and his team have scoured never-before-seen documents which he says shows 'the most evil man in history' in fact survived the allied invasion of Berlin - and beyond.
Moreover they claim Hitler made it all the way to Argentina - first by Luftwaffe plane and then via a submarine which collected him from the Canary Islands.

There, they claim, he intended to lead the 'Fourth Reich' from a secure military compound.

The bombshell revelations will be explored in a new TV series called Hunting Hitler for the History Channel - broadcast tomorrow night (Monday January 16) at 10pm.

Conspiracy: The team believe German dictator Adolf Hitler faked his own death(Photo: Getty Images)

Veteran CIA agent Bob Baer - assisted by US special forces sergeant Tim Kennedy, who was involved in the capture of Osama Bin Laden - explained: "The narrative the government gives us is a lie.

"If you look at the FBI files it throws open the investigation.

"What we are doing is re-examining history, history that we thought was settled that Hitler died in the bunker but the deeper we get into it, it's clear to me we don't have any facts for it."

Mr Baer's team claim to have access to 700 pages of newly declassified information.

One document, purportedly from British Intelligence, is said to claim Hitler was secretly flown out of the German capital by Luftwaffe pilot Captain Peter Baumgart.

Another document states: "American Army officials in Germany have not located Hitler's body nor is there any reliable source that Hitler is dead."

The team claim Hitler 'easily' faked his own death through the use of a double, as the corpse found by Russians was said to be five inches shorter than Hitler and with a smaller skull.

The duo also claim to have found evidence of a fifth exit from the bunker - which has never previously been reported.

Ex-United Nations war crimes investigator John Cencich also interviews an alleged witness to Hitler's escape for the TV series.

The Greek former construction worker tells Mr Cencich: "In 1945 I was building a secret construction inside the monastery in Samos."

"I had to build secret tunnels and compartments for Germans," he continued. "Yes, the Germans were Nazis and one of these guys was Adolf Hitler.

"He was right there, he wasn't wearing a moustache or anything. this was May 1945.

"I realised it was really Hitler because of the airplane.

"I went to work in another town. The first thing I saw in this town was a German airplane. It had landed in an old potato field. The farmer told me there were five people who landed, they were German."

Mr Cencich said: "The accepted truth that he committed suicide is ambiguous."

When the war came to an end many Nazis made an exodus to South America to begin a new life away from Europe.

It is claimed Hitler traveled by U-Boat to Argentina from the Canary Islands to be reunited with his comrades.

Saudi dad arrested after video shows him slapping his infant daughter, baby rescued & reunited with mother

Police in Saudi Arabia have arrested a father who was seen on a video clip slapping his infant daughter and violently shaking her.

The 29-year-old Saudi national was apprehended after his divorced wife, Nareeman, posted the clip on twitter, pleading for assisting to rescue their daughter Dareen from the torture inflicted by her dad.

"I urge every official and every lawyer to protect my daughter from torture,” the mother tweeted.
The video went viral and the authorities responded by asking the mother to contact them in order to help end the baby's ordeal. The wife, 23, told Saudi daily Okaz that she was a Syrian citizen and that she married her Saudi husband four years earlier under an agreement that he would give her 100,000 Saudi Riyals in case they divorced.

"The marriage was approved by both our families and last four years," Nareeman said. "We had our baby daughter three months ago. I discovered that he never authenticated our marriage contract, which meant that I had no rights. As I insisted, he divorced me and kept our daughter in his custody after the father threatened her. He started torturing her and sent me clips to put extra emotional pressure on me."

Nareeman said that she wanted protection for her baby and for herself as well as her rights from the marriage. An official from the labour and social development ministry said that they were able to take Dareen from the home of her paternal grandfather in Makkah and transferred her to the home for the protection of children.
Nareman has been reunited with her infant daughter, Saudi Gazette reports. A video of the emotional reunion was released few days ago, where the mother could be seen hugging Dareen.

What do you know about Friday 13th - odd news (photo)

It's Friday 13th and these 13 tales of woe show why it is a day to fear

It's considered the unluckiest day of the year, but is Friday 13th really something to fear? These stories may help you decide...

Are you worried? Friday the 13th is once again upon us (Photo: Getty)

It's Friday 13th and if you're superstitious, you'll probably want to hide under your duvet and come out tomorrow when it's safe.

Legend has it that Friday 13th is the unluckiest day in the calendar.

The fear of Friday 13th even has a name - friggatriskaidekaphobia, which combines a fear of Fridays with the perception that number 13 is seriously unlucky. Some say it's comes from the Bible. For example, Judas Iscariot, the apostle who betrayed Jesus, was described as "the 13th guest" at the Last Supper.

Also, events including the great flood during the time of Noah, Eve tempting Adam with the forbidden fruit and Jesus' death all apparently happened on Fridays.

Others believe it's linked to Norse mythology, which tells how Loke, the demigod of mischief turned up uninvited, joining 12 others and taking their number to 13.

He then sparked the chaos that led to the death of Balder, a good god.

Unlucky for some? Friday 13th is feared by many

But, truth be told, it isn't really clear why it's thought to be unlucky.

This year, there have been three Friday 13ths - in February, March and this month.

And the fear is taken very seriously by many.

These 13 tales of terrible luck and horror may help you understand why...

13 - A bus conductor has a run of serious bad luck...

Retired bus conductor Bob Renphrey of North Wales decided to spend every Friday 13th in bed after a run of bad luck on the fateful day.

Among other misfortunes he wrote off four cars, got made redundant, fell into a river, crashed a motorcycle and walked through a plate glass door.

Can't blame him, really.

12 - ...and it didn't stop when he died

When Bob died of cancer in 1998, his widow Betty – who on previous Friday 13ths had fallen downstairs, been hit by falling guttering and been hospitalised after Bob hit her in the face with a stick he was throwing to a dog - decided to book his funeral for Friday 13th March as a final tribute

Alas, all Rhyl’s undertakers were too busy.

“Bob would have seen the funny side,” said Mrs Renphrey.

11 - A not so happy ending

Michael Chopra, Heather Swan (Pic: Rex)
Bad luck: Michael Chopra and Heather Swan tied the knot on Friday 13th

Former Sunderland striker Michael Chopra broke up with WAG Heather Swan just three weeks after their £250,000 wedding.

Care to hazard a guess when they got married?

Yep, the ceremony was held on Friday 13th June, 2008.

10 - Even staying in bed couldn't help this man

Friday 13th August, 1976, was particularly unlucky for New York man Daz Baxter.

Having elected to stay in bed to ward off bad luck, the floor of his apartment block collapsed and he fell six storeys to his death.

9 - The unluckiest day of this couple's life?

They weren't buzzing: A swarm of wasps ruined one couple's big day - on Friday 13th

Michelle and Gary Docherty had a memorable wedding on Friday 13 August 2004.

First, a swarm of wasps attacked guests at East Kilbride Registry Office, Lanarkshire, as they waited for Michelle’s arrival.

Her aunt Mary Strachan smashed an expensive digital camera trying to swat one of the pests, and when Michelle finally did turn up, an insect flew up her dress, triggering a panic attack.

After the ceremony, two minibuses booked to transport guests to the reception failed to turn up and the couple lost their wedding video.

8 - A real life disaster situation

Bad day at the office: A plane carrying a rugby team crashed in the Andes on Friday 13th

Friday October 13th, 1972, was the date a plane carrying Uruguayan rugby team Montevideo Old Christians crashed on its way from Montevideo to Santiago, Chile.

When rescuers finally found the 14 survivors two months later, it emerged that they had survived by eating human flesh from some of 31 crew and passengers who perished in the crash.

In 1992, the story was filmed as Alive, starring Ethan Hawke .

7 - A seriously unlucky accident

Moon
Flawed methodology: A full moon on Friday 13th drove Robert Bullard to attempt suicide

full moon on Friday February 13th, 1987, drove troubled Robert Bullard, 21, to attempt suicide by putting his head in a gas oven.

Not only was his methodology flawed – suicide by natural gassing is virtually impossible since Britain moved from lethal coke gas to less dangerous natural gas – but a flicked light switch caused an explosion which injured his mother and a policeman and caused £35,000.
